Night Birds

Sweet, girlish and a little sporty, Night Birds fingerless gloves are knit in the round with ribbed cuff and border, stranded color work and just a little embroidery. The thumb shaping is part welt, part flap for a lovely fit.

These were designed as accessories to my Buntings cardigan, but they're also a nice way to use up some leftover yarns from your pueblo stole or lotus tee

Finished Size: 7" palm circumference, to fit a woman. To modify fit, adjust needle size.

Yarn: Sunday Knits 1 mini skein (99 yd / 90 m per 20 g) each: Nirvana (92% merino, 8% cashmere) charcoal, twig, moss; Angelic (75% merino, 25% angora) lapis; Eden (100% merino) iris, teal, fir, and curry; Brigadoon (100% merino tweed) caper.

Needles & Notions: Size 1 / 2.25 mm and 2 / 2.75 mm: set of 4 double-pointed (dpn) or circular needles, markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Gauge: 28 sts and 40 rnds = 4" in St st using larger needles.
