Country French

Country French is a delightful lace stole with a pretty lattice stitch pattern, lovely border panels, and bobbles that really pop!

Knitting begins with a provisional cast-on and is worked flat from one end to the other. Lace borders are added afterwards, and are worked across, from one side to the other.

Beautiful to wear, fun to knit, and a project that you can take anywhere.

Stats

Size: 72" long by 11" wide.

Gauge: 23 sts and 28 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch.

Yarn: Sunday Knits 3 ply (light sport weight) in Angelic (75% merino 25% angora), Nirvana (90% merino 10% cashmere), Eden (100% merino) or Brigadoon (100% merino tweed); 225 m / 246 yd per 50 g skein: 4 skeins. Shown in Brigadoon Mustard.

Needles: Size US 7 (4.5 mm).

Notions: Stitch marker, scrap yarn.

Skills needed: Provisional cast-on, lace knitting (lace sts worked on RS only), bobbles (explained).
