Burr Oak

I'm mad for plaid! This classic tartan scarf is the first of a few plaid designs I've been working on.

A great place to start ... just knit it flat from one end to the other.

The plaid pattern uses light and shadow as much as it does color, and combines garter stitch with basic brioche stitches and slipped stitches (mosaic).

Only one color is used per row, so no multiple strands to juggle.

And oh the color possibilities are endless! Choose one main color, one darker color, one lighter color, and one color for a little pop.
