An Icelandic-inspired fitted hoodie with deep kangaroon pockets and a continuous cabled button band

The sweater is knit from the bottom in one piece to the armholes,

... then as separate pieces to the short-row shoulder 3-needle bind off

... and then continued into the shaped hood.

Perfect with Reykjavik mittens!

Finished Sizes: 27 (32, 37, 42, 47, 52)" / 69 (81.5, 94, 106.5, 119, 131.5) cm bust circumference.
Sweater shown is size 37" / 94 cm, worn with 3" / 8 cm positive ease.

Yarn: Sunday Knits 5 ply Eden (100% merino), Nirvana (92% merino, 8% cashmere) or Brigadoon (100% merino tweed): 8 (9, 10, 11, 13, 14) skeins for main color;
and Angelic (75% merino, 25% angora): 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 3) skeins in bone for contrasting color.
Each yarn blend is each 137 yd / 125 m and 1 3/4 oz / 50 g.
Shown in Eden sage with Angelic bone.
Substitute any light worsted weight wool or wool blend.

Needles & Notions: Size 6 / 4.0 mm long circular needle; 1 needle in the same size or slightly smaller for joining pockets; markers, stitch holders, tapestry needle, 14 (14, 14, 15, 15, 15) 3/4" / 20 mm buttons.

Gauge: 21 sts and 28 rows = 4" / 10 cm in St st.

Skills used: Cables, chart reading, stranded knitting and purling, short rows.
